Calling all 'Dads'! Our newest job role could be perfect for you

We’re on the hunt for supportive and knowledgeable bunch of people with 'Dad' energy to help launch our first Courtesy 'Dad' service! 

Anyone can apply, whether you're a worldly-wise Dad, a Mum that's handy under the bonnet or just an incredibly knowledgable person who fancies helping out someone in need. As long as you tick all the boxes in the Job Description below you're in with a shot of joining our squad of handy 'Dads'.

Buying a car should be exciting but it can also be stressful, from choosing the right model to negotiating the best price. Having someone on your side can make all the difference.

Did you know that our latest survey revealed that one in seven (14%) drivers bring their Dad with them to the car dealership for “support”? And Dads are by far the most trusted family members for car-related guidance, being on average seven times more popular than a brother or sister (4%), child (3%), mum (2%), or grandparent (0%).

Carmoola can assist with your financial needs, and run checks to make sure the car you’re interested in isn’t a dud, but we can’t physically be there with our customers as they choose their next vehicle. However, this is about to change.

Our new Courtesy 'Dad' service, set to launch later this year, will provide drivers across the country with a parent figure who can guide them through the process, stepping in where their own Dad or Mum might not be able to. But first we need to find our team of 'Dads'. If you consider yourself a good advice giver and know a thing or two about cars, please sign up. Your Role in Our Mission

Carmoola is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as ‘Courtesy Dads’. In this unique role, you will provide essential support and guidance to car buyers during their purchasing journey, from visiting dealerships to taking their vehicle to the garage.

Whether offering tips on negotiating with dealers or simply providing a reassuring presence, you’ll be the go-to person for those who need an extra hand.

The Job

You'll be a helping hand for Carmoola customers looking for advice when it comes to buying and maintaining their vehicle. Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Support Car Buyers: Assist customers during car purchases or garage visits, offering advice and emotional support in person or over the phone (dependent on the customer’s needs).
• Share Your Expertise: Provide general car-related tips, helping car owners make informed decisions.

• Be a Reassuring Presence: Help reduce the stress of buying a car or taking a car to the garage for maintenance work, by acting as a knowledgeable, supportive figure

Requirements

To absolutely nail this role, you should have:

• A caring and calm nature, with a proven track record of helping others
• The ability to give good advice and provide emotional support.
• A solid knowledge of and/or passion for cars.
• A valid UK driver’s licence is required.
• Flexibility to work on a freelance basis.
• Be over 18 years old.
