Arguably the Greatest Boxer of His Era

One of the best pound-for-pound fighters in history, American boxer Floyd Mayweather has won championships across five weight divisions.

Widely considered the greatest boxer of his era, boxing is in his blood: His father, Floyd Sr., was a welterweight contender, and his uncle Jeff Mayweather is a former IBO super featherweight champion.

His success garnered increased earnings. In 2010 he was the third highest-paid American athlete, with income of more than $60 million for the year. But things kept getting better for the champ. 

Mayweather stunned the sports world when he announced his retirement after defeating Ricky Hatton in late 2007. He returned in September 2009 and won a bout against Juan Manuel Marquez by unanimous decision, for a purse of nearly $60 million.

Eight months later, he won a 12-round unanimous decision over Shane Mosley in Las Vegas to up his professional record to 41-0. Following three more successful bouts, Mayweather set the boxing world abuzz by agreeing to fight eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 2, 2015.

Displaying his usual airtight defence in the "Fight of the Century," Mayweather held off his opponent to win a unanimous decision and retain his perfect record.

Floyd Mayweather's Car Collection

Floyd Mayweather’s love for cars is no secret, and over the years he's taken the chance to show them off all over his social media pages.

"I have about 100 cars," Mayweather said in an Instagram post, showing off a garage with 16 cars and his five Rolls-Royces. "We like to call this the sweet 16."

Amongst those he showed were four Ferraris, a Mercedes McLaren, a G-Wagon, a Bentley coupe, and many others. In today's blog post, we are going to be taking a brief look at some of the cars in Mayweather's collection

The Ferraris

When we get to the four-Ferraris stage, we know we have made it. However, Floyd took it one step further with the giveaway of his Ferrari in 2021.

"Want my Ferrari? Win like Floyd, Drive like Floyd," he wrote.

"I am teaming up with Bet Online to give one lucky sports bettor my personal Ferrari. Match my 50-0 perfect record with your bets and take home your very own Ferrari."

The sixth richest athlete in history also has a Ferrari Enzo, which he sold for a crazy £3.2 million during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. 

The Rolls Royces

Like his fellow richest athlete Cristiano Ronaldo, Mayweather has also turned to British automotives, Rolls-Royce, for his luxury vehicles. 

We all know by now that whatever Floyd Mayweather wants, he gets. Recently, it was yet another Rolls-Royce Cullinan, because owning just the five does not suffice.

His most recent addition comes with the same black SUV exterior to fit his colour-coded garage, but the interior is definitely unique.

Since he owns Rolls-Royces in different shades, he knows he will be comfortable whenever he's driving them. He can easily choose one that fits his mood best.

Mercedes McLaren

Some people have a Mercedes, others have a McLaren, but if we had to predict one person who would have a combination of both, it would be Floyd.

He is 1 of 2,000 people who managed to get their hands on this unique collaboration, and boy does he like to flaunt it. 

When you have this car, you'd want to show it off for sure. The Mercedes McLaren has a top speed of 206 MPH and goes from 0-60 in just 3.5 seconds.
