Have You Seen Jerry Seinfeld's Car Collection?
Jerry Seinfeld is well-known for his successful comedy career, but did you know that he's also an avid car collector?
In fact, his car collection is so impressive that it's been featured in magazines and he has his very own television show, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. So what kind of cars does Jerry Seinfeld own? Let's take a look at some of them!
So what's his car collection like?
Jerry Seinfeld's car collection is one of the most impressive in the world. He owns over 150 cars, and his collection is valued at over £13 million.
1955 Porsche 550 Spyder
The Porsche 550 Spyder is a sports car produced by Porsche from 1953 to 1956. The 550 was Porsche's first purpose-built race car and featured a lightweight design and a rear-mounted flat-four engine.
There were only 90 units built, and it quickly became one of the most successful race cars of its time, winning numerous races and setting several speed records. Back in 2020, a 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder once owned by Picasso's son made headlines when it was listed for sale.
A similar version just sold for $4,185,000 on Amelia Island. Seinfeld is easily sitting on a cool $4 million with this car.
Porsche Carrera GT
The Porsche Carrera GT is a mid-engined sports car that was produced by Porsche from 2004 to 2007. The Carrera GT was powered by a 5.7-litre V10 engine that could produce 612 horsepower.
It had a top speed of 205 miles per hour and could accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3.5 seconds. The Carrera GT was Porsche's most expensive and exclusive car at the time of its release, with a price tag of over £440,000.
In 2020, a Carrera GT sold for $3,080,000 at auction, making it one of the most valuable Porsches ever sold.
Lamborghini Miura
The Lamborghini Miura is a sports car that was produced by Lamborghini from 1966 to 1973. The Miura was powered by a 3.9-litre V12 engine that could produce 350 horsepower.
It had a top speed of 171 miles per hour and could accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 6.8 seconds. The Miura was arguably the world's first supercar and is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful cars ever made.
1964 Volkswagen “EZ Camper”
The Volkswagen Type 2, also known as the VW Bus or Microbus, is a vehicle that was produced by Volkswagen from 1950 to 1967.
The Type 2 was available in a variety of different configurations, including a camper van. The EZ Camper was a conversion kit that could be added to any Type 2 to turn it into a camper van.
It featured a kitchenette with a sink, a bed, and awnings that could be added to the windows to give it a more 'homely' feel. This is perfect for when Jerry has to travel the US visiting talk show hosts and performing for his adoring fans.
1957 Fiat 500
The Fiat 500 is a car that was originally produced by Fiat from 1957 to 1975. The 500 was powered by a 0.5-litre two-cylinder engine that could produce 22 horsepower.
It had a top speed of 58 miles per hour and could accelerate from 0 to 30 miles per hour in 15 seconds (lightning quick right?). The 500 was designed as an affordable and practical city car, and over 4 million examples were produced during its 18-year production run.
Now, the Fiat 500 is an incredibly popular car owned by a lot of celebrities, but back then, it was more of a function-based vehicle.
Takeaway
We have to say that Jerry Seinfeld has the most impressive car collection EVER, clearly because of the sheer quantity of cars involved.
A reported 150 vehicles line his New York-based 3-story warehouse, his collection ranges from the classic cars we have mentioned today, to the brand-new sports cars that have just been released. Jerry Seinfeld seems to have it all!
