That's why we're sponsoring two extraordinary young adventurers, Rafe Stratton and Finn Murray Threipland, as they embark on the 2024 Mongol Rally - aka ‘The World’s Greatest Road Trip’ and ‘Motoring Stupidity on a Global Scale’.
And they’re travelling a third of the way around the world in…. a 35 year-old, one-litre Nissan Micra 😬
What is the Mongol Rally? 🏁
The Mongol Rally is not your average road trip.
It's a 10,000-mile journey from Europe to Mongolia, traversing some of the world's most remote and challenging terrains.
There are no set routes, no support teams, and the only rule is that participants must drive a small, impractical car.
This rally is all about derring-do, resilience, and experiencing the world in a way few ever could, would or, frankly, want to.

Rafe decided to take on the Mongol Rally to experience different cultures and landscapes firsthand. For him, the journey is about embracing the unknown and meeting people from all corners of the globe. He's excited to drive through less-travelled roads, especially the mountain passes of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan 🏔️🚗

Finn was looking for a travel challenge beyond traditional backpacking. The Mongol Rally caught his eye as one of the most demanding adventures he could undertake. He is particularly excited about the rugged landscapes of Kyrgyzstan, where the roads give way to dirt tracks and breathtaking scenery 🌄🛤️

We believe in the importance of stepping out of your comfort zone, and by sponsoring Rafe and Finn we’re not only supporting their incredible journey but also highlighting the values we hold dear. Their determination, courage, and passion for exploration resonate with us.
Plus, we’re curious to see how a car that was manufactured 15 years before either adventurer was born fares on this trip. We reckon it’ll stand up to whatever the route has to throw at it - after all, Japanese cars are renowned for their reliability.
